Reentry (DPDS - Pretrial Committed)

A Correctional Case Management Reentry Specialist will serve as front line staff providing referral and services that support and have direct oversight of DPDS committed individuals under the care, custody and control of the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, who will transition back into the community. Through the use of various data driven operating systems, and one on one engagement, a DPDS reentry specialist will assess and evaluate to identify any potential needs or barriers, and utilize all available resources to offer appropriate referrals and linkage to community based organizations and local nonprofits prior to the discharge of the committed individual from DPDS facilities. Contingent upon available time of release for a committed individual, individualized reentry plans may be developed to create a comprehensive individualized transition release plan prior to release, which support Departmental Directives, reentry initiatives, and related guidelines in accordance with DPSCS policy.
