DPSCS 2nd Annual Turkey Drive!
We’re proud to announce the 2nd Annual DPSCS Turkey Drive, taking place on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Calvin B. Scruggs Funeral Home (Front Side), located at 1412 East Preston Street, Baltimore, MD 21213.
DPSCS will be providing turkeys, non-perishable items, gently used clothing, shoes and accessories.

Spooky fun at Baltimore Central Booking & Intake Center! Secretary Carolyn J. Scruggs joined staff at BCBIC for a festive Trunk-or-Treat celebration. Events like these bring our DPSCS team together and highlight the community behind our mission.
Annual Immigrant Heritage Celebration
The Maryland Police and Correctional Training Center came alive with music, dancing, and cultural pride during our Annual Immigrant Heritage Celebration! Staff joined together to honor the rich traditions and diverse backgrounds that make up our DPSCS family. Events like these celebrate unity through culture, connection, and community, reminding us that diversity is our strength.

Fall Youth Camp fun with DPSCS!
The high school students of our amazing DPSCS employees learned about correctional careers, restraints and physical training activities, crime prevention: drugs and social media, and saw firsthand the incredible K9 unit in action.

AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk
This past weekend, members of DPSCS proudly joined Commissioner Kimberly Bey at the AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk to raise awareness around suicide prevention and support those affected by it. Together, we walked in solidarity to spread hope, honor lives lost, and strengthen community support for mental health at the close of Suicide Prevention month.
