AdvancePay® Prepaid Telephone Accounts

To accept calls from an incarcerated individual at this facility, we recommend you create an AdvancePay® prepaid telephone account. Prepaid calling works by placing money on your phone number so that when your incarcerated individual calls you the funds are deducted from the balance on your prepaid account.

Notice

All visitors to a Correctional Facility must clear a metal detector. Please be mindful of clothing that may contain metals as it may result in the inability to clear. In the event that a visitor is unable to clear the metal detector, their visit may be denied.

Contraband ~ Criminal Violations

Pursuant to Maryland's Criminal Law Article, Sections 9-410 and 9-412 through 9-417, it is unlawful for a person to possess, deliver, or possess with intent to deliver contraband in a place of confinement. Such items include but are not limited to telecommunication devices, contraband to effect an escape, weapons of any type, alcoholic beverages, controlled dangerous substances, and tobacco.

It is unlawful for a person to deposit or conceal a telecommunication device in or about a place of confinement with the intent that it be obtained by a person detained or confined.

Violators are subject to arrest and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Upon conviction, violators are subject to imprisonment from periods of 3 to 10 years, fines of $1,000 to $5,000, or both.

Visiting Hours

Always check the DPSCS home page for additional weather related or visiting hour changes, if any.

A maximum of two (2) visits per week. ( ONE IN PERSON AND ONE VIDEO VISIT)

All visitors must arrive at least one hour before the close of visitation.

Visits are permitted based on the last digit of the incarcerated individual's corrections identification number and the corresponding calendar date.

Incarcerated individuals with odd ending numbers (1,3,5,7,9) are permitted visits on the corresponding odd date (January -December 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15 etc.).

Incarcerated individuals with even ending numbers (0,2,4,6,8) are permitted visits on the corresponding even date (January -December 0,2,4,6,8,10,12,14 etc.).

There are no visits on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or the 31st of any month.

Infirmary - (Only for those incarcerated individuals who are medically able to visit in the visiting room as determined by medical staff) 
Saturday - 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Duration:  1 hour

General Information

Use of restroom facilities is prohibited during visitation.  If either the incarcerated individual or a visitor requires the use of the restroom, the visit will be terminated at that time.  Please keep this in mind when visiting with small children.

An incarcerated individual may receive no more than two (2) visits per week and only one (1) visit per day.

A maximum of four (4) visitors may visit an incarcerated individual at one time, regardless of age, with the exception of infants (6 months or younger).  At least one visitor must be an adult.

Visits that take place in the infirmary are limited to two (2) adult visitors.

No packages, money orders, cash or checks may be brought into the institution by visitors. Incarcerated individual mail must be mailed to the incarcerated individual at P.O. Box 535, Jessup, Maryland 20794. Money orders should be mailed to the incarcerated individual at P.O. Box 17111 Baltimore, MD 21297-1111.

Visitor Dress Code

All visitors, to include children, must dress appropriately for visitation.  All clothing must cover from the neck to the kneecaps.

The following types of clothing are not allowed to be worn:

  • tube tops, tank tops, or halter tops
  • see-through clothing
  • mini-skirts, mini-dresses, shorts, skorts, or culottes (at or above the kneecap)
  • form-fitting clothes such as leotards, spandex, and leggings
  • clothes that expose a person's midriff, side, or back
  • tops or dresses that have revealing necklines and/or excessive splits
  • coats, jackets, shawls and scarves will be placed in an appropriate area.
