Victim Services Advocacy and Survivors Session

DPSCS held its first victims advocacy and survivors session this month, which was attended by both Department employees and outside victim advocacy groups.

The Department's Victim Services units function at the correctional, Parole and Probation, and Parole Commission level, ensuring that victims stay informed throughout their offenders' travels through the system.

Secretary Carolyn J. Scruggs and Deputy Secretary Annie Harvey were key participants in the session, as was longtime DPSCS employee and shooting survivor Robin Woolford, who graciously offered his time to speak to the gathering.
