In Memoriam: Officer Devynn Jordan "Hancock" Skinner

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our esteemed colleague and friend, Officer Devynn Jordan "Hancock" Skinner. Officer Skinner passed away while off-duty on Monday, September 2, 2024.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family during this challenging time. Officer Skinner was not only a dedicated and exemplary Correctional Officer at the Eastern Correctional Institution, but also a cherished friend and colleague to many.

Over the course of nearly two years with the Department and the State of Maryland, he made significant contributions, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked alongside. His absence will be deeply felt, but we will honor his legacy by continuing to support one another as a united DPSCS family.
