We are excited to announce our Third Annual Back to School Drive! As we gear up for the 2026–2027 school year, we are looking for dedicated volunteers to help us support local students and families in Baltimore.
We have an incredible event in East Baltimore and we need your helping hands to make it a success. Whether you can assist with setting up, distributing backpacks, or greeting families, your time will directly impact a child's readiness for the upcoming school year.

Step Into the Shoes of Returning Citizens at the DPSCS Baltimore City Reentry Simulation!
DPSCS Reentry Simulation Registration -Thursday, July 16, 2026
The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) invites you to participate in the Baltimore City Reentry Simulation, a powerful educational experience designed to build understanding and awareness around the reintegration process. Experience firsthand the challenges individuals face when reintegrating into society after incarceration.
This simulation fosters greater understanding of the struggles and barriers faced by individuals reentering the community. By walking in their shoes, participants gain valuable insight into the complexities of reintegration and the support systems needed for successful community reentry. This interactive, in-person simulation allows participants to navigate real-world scenarios and obstacles that returning citizens encounter daily, including finding employment and housing, accessing essential services and managing legal requirements.

In observance of Second Chance Awareness Month, the Western Maryland Reentry Taskforce is pleased to extend an invitation to the Western Maryland Reentry Simulation. This impactful event provides an opportunity to engage in a hands-on experience that highlights the challenges individuals face when reentering society after incarceration. It also underscores the importance of collaboration among community partners in supporting successful reintegration.

You're invited to the Prince George's County Fall Reentry Resource Fair, a collaboration between Prince George's County Government and the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. This fair, free and open to the public, will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Palmer Park Community Center, 7720 Barlow Rd., Landover, MD 20785 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
