Sundry Claims Board

The Sundry Claims Board has jurisdiction over all inmate claims for compensation for permanent disabilities arising from injuries suffered while working on paying jobs. The board covers inmates working in corrections, the Patuxent Institution, and in Baltimore City detention facilities.

The board consists of the secretary of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services or a designee, the secretary of the Department of Budget and Management or designee, and the comptroller or designee. The governor designates one member of the board as the chairperson and another member of the board as the secretary.
