Division of Capital Construction and Facilities Maintenance

The Division of Capital Construction and Facility Maintenance is the division within the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services responsible for the planning, budgeting, and design of capital and maintenance projects at correctional facilities statewide. Read more

Division of Correction

The correctional side of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services includes all Maryland state prisons. Dedicated professionals oversee 24 prisons and pre-release centers whose mission is to protect the public by securing sentenced criminals and preparing most of them to return to their communities. Offenders on parole and probation, living in our neighborhoods and working in our businesses, require supervision and guidance to keep focused on the ultimate goal of overcoming the "revolving door" of the criminal justice system.
